Job Responsibilities:Responsible for supporting KLA-Tencor’s wafer inspection products penetration/adoption and process optimization at customer facilities in world wide and at factory. This includes training, investigating customer technical needs/problems and providing solutions, conducting final acceptance, demonstrating products, and understanding competitive situations, methodology, and performance group analysis. Support pre-sale and post-sale activities.
Responsible for product feedback to marketing and engineering teams.  This includes understanding customer technical problems and suggesting possible solutions and tools/features required to solve them. Needs to work with multiple teams like Sales, Marketing, Engineering etc.
Responsible for supporting characterization projects for KLA-Tencor’s wafer inspection products and features at factory and remotely from India.  This includes designing and conducting experiments, collecting data, publishing results and recommendations in the form of applications notes, best known methods or characterization studies.
Application engineers are responsible for generating best known method documents and other training material and transferring product knowledge to K-T’s worldwide Field Applications team.
Worldwide travel (on average 70%) is required to support inspection products at customer fabs.

Qualifications:Candidate must have ME/MS/M.Tech, or Ph.D in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related fields. Having a background in IC processing/Semiconductor equipment is a plus. Must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skill. Candidate must also be self-driven, yet a strong team player.
