Job Description:In this position, you will be monitoring Load Jobs in EDW during close period (8 days in a month). Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for the root causing and fixing the job failures and coordinating the crisis management
- Working user tickets on data issues
- Working on bug fixes and process improvements during non close period
Desired Candidate Profile:You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or Computer Science. Additional qualifications include:
- Very good knowledge in SQL language
- Demonstrated experience building cubes and reports that take advantage of OLAP/Dimensional Modeling capabilities
- Strong SQL and Stored Procedure coding abilities
- Strong team working skills, an analytical nature, life-long learning and excellent written and oral communications skills are requirements for this position
- Experience in optimizing databases; solid understanding of referential integrity and the use of indexes
- Experience in Teradata DB with excellent knowledge in teradata advanced SQL, procedures, macros and utilities (T PUMP, FAST EXPORT, MULTI LOAD and others)
- Background in Finance would be an added advantage
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems with beta and new release software, and research possible solutions using the internet and other available resources (SAP OSS Notes would be an added advantage)
- Experience or Good knowledge on SAP BW and Microstrategy reporting tool would be an added advantage
- Knowledge on UNIX shell scripting would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with at least SAP FI/CO, experience in other modules would be an added advantage
